Bye bye bye

We've been painting! Bye Red, it was terrible and we won't miss you. But we love the grey! My MIL will come next week and we will begin painting furniture to go in the dining room. I cannot wait for it to be done and to show you pictures! This is what we did pretty much all weekend. I'm sure there were other things - but this seemed to consume most of it.

Another good bye... Our friends, the Gaglianos are gone now : ( But look at this sweet picture of Hayes and Lyric (same age)... looking out a window together. It speaks a thousand words to me... I miss them already but am excited for their new journey.

And apparently, Hayes would like to tell me "bye" and walk out the back yard. I doubt it. He is into everything now... and wanting to go everywhere he should not and do everything he cannot. But, he is still my sweet boy.

Pool time! This is becoming a daily adventure for me and Hayes. We go to the pool - for about an hour to get out as much of that energy as we possibly can. I think it is so precious when he sits in the big lay out chairs and eats his goldfish. Too cute.

Here are just a few for looks...
Hayes wearing one of my favorite outfits.

And this adorable face... love all of his expressions!

Also, Hayes had his 15 month shots today and I learned there will be no more till he is 5. Yay!! Thanks for that great news Dr. Joe!

Love y'all! Thanks for keeping up with us... I know its not much but it's our sweet and blessed life.

Oh what a day!

I hope you have all had a great weekend so far. We have! It started Thursday night for us and has been packed with fun just about every second.

Our great friends, the Gaglianos are moving away : ( but we are super excited and happy for them. God is all over their new move and we can't wait to hear all He does through them. Thursday night was their going away party. Hayes and Lyric are the same age - here's some pictures from that night.

Friday we played at a water splash thing with the Albers. Their son Coen is a couple months older than Hayes and they had so much fun in the water. I, of course didn't bring a towel, rookie mistake, but we made it.
Then, we went to the church and Seth and Hayes played drums. Hayes' favorite thing ever is to play drums

Friday night we headed to Kosciusko to stay with Seth's family. My mother-in-law drove thru Hattiesburg earlier that day and so she picked up my favorite cookies from the best bakery ever. I ate 3 - and want more!!

Saturday - pool and naked boy day!! Hayes ran around their back yard and played in the little pool all day - and naked I should add. He ate his first Jody's cookie and first Popsicle - all in one day!! Good day for Hayes.

Seth and I went to a sweet friend's wedding while Hayes played in the pool. Beautiful bride, beautiful wedding and great friends.

That's our weekend so far!

I'm hoping to start painting the dining room this week - I'm thinking grey? Thoughts?

Tuesday

Here are a few little pictures and stories for this Tuesday. Not much going on - just a fun post.

Today I am keeping Lyric - my best friend's baby girl who was born the same day as Hayes. They move to Arkansas Monday : ( so I am super glad to have time with this little sweetheart before she leaves.

Also, Hayes is trying to climb everything. Here is a picture of him conquering the piano.

I need any summertime ideas for keeping Hayes entertained. Yesterday , we played in the sprinkler, went to e park, the gym, and then ended up at Seth's office. It's gonna be a long week!! Hayes can't sit at home - he gets bored fast.

And in other news - I want to make this cool palette thing. I have a good wall for it and I love the look! Pinterest project + Seth, here we come!! Not to mention we are in the middle of repainting our dining room... Busy days!!

Hope you have a fun day! I've got my hands full but am so thankful!!

Sandy Blue Eyes

Best Week Ever

I should be working out... But, since I'm not - here is a blog update!

This week was amazing. We were on vacation in Destin with our friends the Nasons!! This vacation was the best. A special thanks to my parents for keeping Hayes a few days while we were there so I could sleep in, go running and spend time in the Word in the mornings. I even read an entire book the first couple days. I never have time to read so that was a huge luxury. We got to eat at fun restaurants and take walks to coffee shops. We even got to shop just a little... : ) Today I realized I think I look like the tanning mom with no make up on... that's not good. Here are some pictures of our relaxing and fun week. Oh and having a one year old at the beach is extremely fun. He had the best time playing in the sand.

Hello Sandy Blue Eyes...

Hayes climbed in and out of this chair all day...
 My boys...
 Love.

 And nap time...

Weekend

Our weekend has been so enjoyable. So refreshing and different from our normal routine.

Friday started with a quick run with my great friend Jenna. She is starting to run (yay!) and is doing so well. It's so fun to run with someone and be able to remember the difficult (but worth it) journey it was to begin running and then to train for 1/2 marathons.

Then we had a special lunch to one of our favorite restaurants, The Pizza Shack - YUM! Jenna had never been, so we all loaded up and went for quite a beautiful outdoor lunch. And dinner, at a neighborhood dinner - in a neighborhood we don't live in, but would like to live in one day.  In other words, a few of our friends live in this fun, new neighborhood and wanted to do some neighbor meeting so they had a BBQ and because they love us, invited us too. So fun - met new, great people and hope to hang out again soon.

Saturday - Oh Saturday. We could've never EVER expected all that Saturday entailed. First, it started with a crazy idea to go to a spin class. Seemed harmless enough. But, I still can't really sit just right and kinda hurt more than I'd like... no complaints though! We took sweet Hayes to Melinda and Earl to watch for the night because we had a wedding to attend on the coast. But, after dropping Hayes off, we "ran by Miskelly's" to just walk around. Back story: we've been so blessed to have some couches from my parents house. I love these couches but I hate the slipcovers. So, we've been "looking" on and off for a while - but have never found anything we thought we'd buy... until yesterday. So, I am excited to tell you we have new couches! I can't wait to have you all over to sit on them!! I'll put a picture when they are in my house!! Then, we drove to the coast, enjoyed Neely Ferrell's wedding and came home.

And Sunday - what a nice day it has been so far. I love Hayes and he brings more joy to my life than I could've ever imagined. But, getting a small break every once in a while, is a nice treat. So, I've read, blogged, did laundry, cleaned a bit, made lunch, made breakfast... and its not even 8am yet. So much to accomplish and I am resting too.

On another note: now that we have beautiful couches we are in this kick of updating other areas so we will be painting our dining room soon. Then the front door, then the shutters, then the kitchen... we're going to be tired. Haha! It will be extreme paint makeover. Note to Jenna N. - I'll be borrowing your family I think... you can entertain Hayes and Jonathan can reach the high places so I don't get light headed on a ladder. Perfect plan.

Oh - if you haven't watched Downton Abbey - you should. Seriously.  Click here to begin your journey.

Happy Easter

We had the best week! Lots of fun, family and friends... the perfect weekend.

Thursday, Crossgates partnered with Brandon and hosted a huge Easter Egg Hunt! Hayes got to experience hunting for eggs (well, not really... but maybe just the idea of it) and see the Easter Bunny, whom he loved.

Saturday, All of our families came into town! So, we played outside and had a great time.

Sunday, we all went to church, had a huge lunch and lots of fun playing with our easter basket that afternoon.

Here is the shirt I made for Hayes - I was so proud of myself!
